BFF presents year-round community screenings, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Between six to eight screenings happen annually at The New Parkway Theater in Oakland, showcasing finished films BFF has funded. We will also host special exhibition programs, including a program of short films illuminating the impact of the justice system, and the Saul Zaentz Film Series, a weekend highlighting the legendary producer.

Meeting the Moment - Join us for a five-film screening series exploring resilience, empathy, and the enduring strength of our shared humanity.

Inspired by the legacy of visionary producer Saul Zaentz, the Berkeley Film Foundation presents Meeting the Moment, five powerful true stories of people challenging systems and reimagining community. Please join us for a program of five independent documentary films by award-winning East Bay filmmakers, all previous BFF grantees. 

Stay after the films for a lively panel discussion and interactive audience Q&A with the filmmakers and guests. We hope to see you there!
