BFF COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS

BFF hosts educational workshops designed to provide tangible, concrete support to the Bay Area’s independent film community by offering practical guidance and industry insights. These free (or low cost), lecture-style events are led by respected industry experts and cover essential topics such as funding strategies, distribution, community engagement, and navigating complex filmmaking partnerships. More than 500 emerging and established filmmakers have participated in the program. 

Workshops are typically offered twice a year at the David Brower Center in downtown Berkeley.
